NYU LANGONE HEALTH 403(B) PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Contributions for any year may not exceed the limitations specified in the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
- Pre-tax contributions may not exceed the 2024 pre-tax limit of twenty-three thousand dollars as established by the IRC.
- Participants aged 50 and over are eligible to contribute extra pre-tax contributions (catch-up contribution) above the annual Internal Revenue Service (IRS) limitation up to seven thousand five hundred dollars in 2024.
- Effective January 1, 2024, the Plan was amended to introduce an after-tax Roth contribution.
- Employer contributions range from 6% to 10% of the employee’s eligible compensation, as defined in the Plan Document, depending on the employee’s entrance into the plan and job type, as described in Schedule A of the Plan Document.
- All participants are fully vested in their account balance for contributions they make immediately upon entering the Plan. Vesting in NYULH’s contribution plus actual earnings thereon, is based on years of continuous service. Employees will earn a year of vesting service for each calendar year in which the employee is credited with at least 1,000 hours of service. A participant is 100% vested after five years of credited service as follows: Applicable Years of Service Nonforfeitable

- 2-3 years: 25%
- 3-4 years: 50%
- 4-5 years: 75%
- 5+ years: 100%
